Gauge Performance Studio

PRECISION
OVER VOLUME

Small-group performance training. Alexandra, Singapore.

SCROLL ↓
TRAIN Six athletes. Twelve weeks. One outcome.
THE METHOD

Everything Gauge does is structured in 12-week performance blocks. Each block is built around one measurable outcome — agreed before the first session begins. Not a goal. An outcome, with a number attached to it.

THE BLOCK
ASSESS (Weeks 1–2)

Baseline testing. Lactate threshold, 1RM testing, movement screen. This is where the programme starts.

BUILD (Weeks 3–7)

Progressive overload against the baseline. Volume accumulates. Intensity climbs in week six.

PEAK (Weeks 8–11)

Specificity increases. Training volume reduces. Intensity reaches its ceiling.

MEASURE (Week 12)

The baseline protocol runs again. The block ends with data, not opinion.

THE RULE

Maximum six athletes per session.

No drop-ins. Every athlete is on a block.

Your programme is yours. It is not shared with the group.

Maya Chia

MAYA CHIA

Head Coach & Founder

Maya competed for Singapore in swimming from 2008 to 2016, representing the national team at the SEA Games twice. After retiring from competition, she spent six years as a strength and conditioning coach at Singapore Sports Institute, working with national-level athletes across five disciplines.

Gauge opened in 2023 after seven years of private coaching. It is intentionally small. The six-athlete cap is not a marketing constraint — it is the number of athletes Maya can programme for without compromising the quality of each block.

— Not taking new applications until July 2025.
