A face, studied.
Vela sees eight patients a week. That number is a design choice.
We don't treat what's wrong. We study what's right.
Most aesthetic medicine begins with a treatment. Vela begins with a question: what does this face do well? Every structure, every proportion, every quality of skin that is already working — these are the starting conditions. The intervention, if there is one, follows from that understanding.
The practice sees eight patients a week, by design. Dr. Koh does not carry a treatment menu into the consultation. She carries a notebook.
Sixty minutes before anything else.
Every patient relationship at Vela begins the same way: a face study. Not a consultation. Not a skin assessment. A study — sixty minutes in which Dr. Koh examines the face as a whole: its proportions in profile and in three-quarter view, the quality of light it reflects at different angles, the relationship between its upper, middle, and lower thirds.
No treatment is discussed at a face study. The session exists only to understand. Patients often find this the most useful appointment they have had with a doctor.
